New messages do not appear as notifications nor set a 'fixed' card in AA. I've tried to solve it by deleting caches and apps and reinstalling them but nothing has worked so far. I also set WhatsApp and Telegram notifications to 'urgent' but that changed nothing, so I've run out of ideas. Don Cohen. There hasn't been any sound notification for incoming texts with Android Auto for many months now.

There is the visual notification that pops up, but without a sound being played, this is easily missed. I just updated my Verizon Note 8 to Pie, hoping for a fix, but no such luck. This is a pretty major bug for Android Auto, which as I said, has been present for many months. It's as if AA was completely disconnected from the incoming messages.

Could you also check if this issue is happening on Android Auto when using on your phone screen and let us know what the results are. I got my car only last week, and I think this has been AA's default behaviour since the beginning. I saw the thread that advises us to restart the device but it doesn't work for me. I've just tried using AA on my phone screen, and it behaves the same as when using my car's: can send, don't receive. I don't want to seem pushy, but the lack of answer after all these days makes me feel like I should abandon all hope.
