Most phones are now on a fairly regular release schedule. For example, the Samsung S series in February and the Note at the end of the summer while Apple launches phones in the fall. There are several likely new phones coming in the next month, and the rumors indicate we should keep our eyes out for the following.
We may hear more details about the hardware and if it will actually be released. The rumors are swirling that the OnePlus 8 is coming soon, but it is not clear if MWC will be the venue given that updated 7T Pro models were released just a couple of months ago. It is easy to figure out the name of LG's next phones as it has a record of picking up the next number in its G and V series smartphones. The new folding Motorola Razr is launching shortly, but it also looks like we may see a flagship from Motorola at MWC.
This could be the end of Moto Mods. There are also rumors of a Motorola phone with a stylus, possibly called Motorola G8 Stylus. Sony is known for announcing new phones at MWC and is holding a press conference on Feb. Rumors indicate we could see the Sony Xperia 2.
It's also been called the Xperia 5 Plus. This Sony Xperia 1 successor is likely to include improved internal specifications. Nokia is rumored to announce an affordable 5G phone at MWC, as well as updates to its existing line of phone.
We may see updates to Android One devices and maybe even another classic Nokia phone relaunch. We saw Nokia announce five phones at MWC , so hold onto your hat as we get ready for another round of releases in a couple of weeks. Honor confirmed an event at MWC, so it is definitely showing off something on Feb. Rumors indicate we could see the View 30 Pro and 9X Pro. While Huawei is no longer sold in the US, it continues to best Apple in worldwide smartphone share and continues to release new phones. We may see Huawei show off more of its own operating system, Harmony OS, as it breaks away from Google, but we may also see the P40 shown off at the event.
